VE3UIL Packet System Explanation

The VE3UIL Packet system consists of several modules, so depending on where you first connect to the system determines how you manoeuvre around it.

The packet system has 3 different ports. 

          Port 1 - RF - 145.010 Mhz
          Port 2 - RF - 145.050 Mhz
          Port 3 - AXUDP - Internet

The VE3UIL Packet Station consists of several different applications all available on any of the three above ports.

These applications are:

                SFSBBS:VE3UIL-1          Packet BBS  running the BPQ BBS software
                BBSUIL:VE3UIL-3          Packet BBS running the FBB software
                SFSDX:VE3UIL-5           DXCluster operated by N9PMO in Racine, WI.
                SFALLS:VE3UIL-7         PACKET NODE Switch running the BPQ NODE software
                SFSCHT:VE3UIL-9         PACKET CHAT NODE running the BPQ CHAT software
                SFSRMS:VE3UIL-10      Winlink RMS NODE
               
VE3UIL Packet Applications

A description of each application follows:

SFSBBS:VE3UIL-1
This application is a Bulletin board type service.  The software is the BPQMAILCHAT application and is currently the Beta version.  It receives a copy all mail sent to the FBB BBS .

BBSUIL:VE3UIL-3
This application is a Bulletin Board service running the FBB BBS software written by Jean Paul F6FBB.  It is currently configured to Forward and recevie Buletins and messages from  several FORWARD partners connected from around the world.  See the list provided elswhere on this web page.
